Bee School is a special place designed and inspired by honeybees, honey & learning new skills. Visit Bee School to learn about the integral roles honeybees play in our everyday lives and discover the links between bees, pollination and our food security.

The wonderful world of bees at Bee School will delight visitors of all ages.

Enjoy our live cooking demonstrations showcasing a range of recipes and cooking techniques in the Hive Kitchen (2pm on Weekends and School Holidays)

Listen to a Bee Talk: Join us as the bees get buzzing in & out of the beehive and learn some amazing bee facts! (11:30am Weekends & School Holidays)

Wander through the Bee Cause Garden: Ever wondered what flowers or vegetables you should grow in a bee-friendly garden? Discover what bees love with our bee-star-rated garden plants. (Self-guided, Open daily)

Relax in our Picnic & Play Space: Bring your own food, drink and picnic and relax under our historic Liquid Amber tree. (Free, Open Daily)

Historic Archive & Beekeeping Museum: Want to learn more about honeybees? Bee School is also home to some of Australia’s oldest and rarest catalogued beekeeping memorabilia, artefacts and journals. We welcome you to experience these special items (By appointment only. Bookings at The Honey Shop by Beechworth Honey).

The Hive Kitchen at Bee School is the partner venue for the Beechworth Lost Arts Series Program classes & workshops. The current 2017 Spring Program includes a range of cooking, craft, & gardening classes, together with a Beekeeping series of workshops until January 2018. To book, visit www.lostartsseries.com.au.
