Golden Horseshoes Festival - Easter Long Weekend
The Golden Horseshoes Festival returns to Beechworth from Good Friday 6th to Easter Sunday 8th April 2012.
Information for the 2012 event has yet to be released so here are some highlights from the 2011 Golden Horse Festival Include:
- New Produce Markets
- Display of unique, vintage and custom motorbike collections
- The Sensational Grand Parade
- Pro Freestyle Motorcross Event
- Easter Craft Fair
- Easter Egg hunt with the Easter Bunny
- Royal Childrens Hospital Family Fun Day

The Golden Horseshoes Festival recreates the occasion where a horse shod with golden shoes was ridden into town by political aspirant Daniel Cameron on the nomination day of Victoria' first parliamentary elections. His famous 1855 ride through the streets of Beechworth proved a crowd pleaser; he was duly elected to parliament.

Nestled amongst a dreamy cottage garden is a fully self contained three bedroom house. Breakfast provisions are provided and children are welcome.
