OBAN HOUSEOban House is located in Finch Street, reputedly the most charming street in Beechworth. Oban House was built in the mid 1860's by John Stevens, the builder of Christ Church in Beechworth, the elegant Albury Railway Station and the pavilion at the Randwick Race Course.

From 1866 - 1890 the house belonged to Joseph Dalton who owned the bake house next door. During those years Finch Street was a busy commercial hub. Builder, John Stevens daughter Grace owned and resided in the house for many years during the 1900's.

The present owners have named the house after Oban in Scotland, from where their family originates.

Comfortably restored, Oban House is situated only two blocks from the main street. Leave your car in the car port and walk to local attractions, galleries, shops and restaurants or stay and enjoy the privacy of the lovingly kept cottage garden.
