and Franz invite you to share their love of old roses whilst enjoying
complete privacy in your own cottage accommodation with ensuite. With
so many galleries and historic places to visit in Beechworth and throughout
the region, you will love experiencing the beauty this area has to offer.
The two private accommodation suites are situated within picturesque gardens that feature over 2,000 old-fashioned roses, cottage plants and shrubs, with the historic township of Beechworth as its back drop.
"The Rose Room" is furnished with simple colonial antiques and old worlde accessories. You will step into the past, whilst enjoying old fashioned comforts such as a large double brass bed covered in a froth of cottage linen, a hand painted wardrobe and family heirlooms.
"The Cottage" is furnished in a European flavour with selective Austrian touches. A small path leads guests to the room which is nestled quietly within our established garden of perfumed roses. A charming timber bed and rich wooden decor offers a warm and restful atmosphere.
Morning greets you with a sumptuous continental breakfast complete with such treats as croissants, whole-wheat and white breads, locally made jams, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, fruit juice and freshly brewed coffee or tea which you prepare at your leisure.
Suite facilities include: large double beds with electric blankets, ensuite shower/bath, large towels, microwave oven, fridge and toaster. Off street car parking is available to guests.
Please feel free to browse through our gardens. The more advanced garden includes a small nursery with old fashioned roses to purchase, and rambling beds of cottage plants. The perfect way to relax whilst staying, is to sit in the handbuilt gazebo overlooking the valley in the evening. The new garden duplicates the vision of roses you see in the advanced garden but also features the crab Apple and Wisteria Walks and an avenue of pear trees. Some special features are the handbuilt stone wall and slip rail fence. Our garden is open 10:00am to 5:00pm daily except Tuesday.
